PROBLEM   Energy use is highly variable in non-metered homes, and is not able to be monitored or managed remotely.

SOLUTION  Concentris Systems demonstrated a smart metering technology in Oahu military housing, which enabled residents and energy managers to save energy by monitoring and controlling appliances through the web and mobile devices.

  • Demonstrated a secure system that could provide wireless socket-level control of devices with an iPhone application
  • Led to the creation of a startup (Lightning Excelerator company IBiS Networks) to pivot technology for an enterprise solution
