General Electric (GE) has launched a $200 million contest for ideas for clean energy products.

Challenge 1: Create – Renewable Energy. What kinds of technologies or processes do you think will maximize the penetration of renewables into the grid?

Challenge 2: Connect – Grid Efficiency. In terms of technology, processes and policy, what do you think are the best means to help us realize greater gains in grid efficiency and outage management?

Challenge 3: Use – EcoHomes/EcoBuildings. We need to change how, and when, we use energy. We’re looking at many promising technologies to help power companies and their customers share information and manage their energy use better.
